Once again it’s that that time of the year when we all must face the dreaded task of shopping for a new swimsuit…YUCK! I realize that you may not be ready to face the harsh fluorescent lights of your local department stores dressing room. But, with summer right around the corner, it’s an unavoidable shopping trip.
Luckily, in response to consumer feedback, swimwear designers have made it their mission to develop better fabrics and styles with each new season. Today there are styles to suit every shape, size, and budget. Having sold swimwear for 10 years, I know all too well the stress women go through when setting out to buy a swimsuit. For that, I would like to offer a few suggestions on fit and dispel some classic misconceptions about sizing and styles for different body types.

Never ever choose a boy short bottom unless you are competing in a beach volleyball tournament. They are unflattering and unforgiving. If you want more coverage, try a skirted bottom with adjustable sides.
