Local beauties transform for Red Carpet Shoot…

For the February issue of Berks County Living Magazine, I was asked to re-create iconic Red Carpet moments that the average person can afford. Awards show season is Tinseltown’s most glamorous time of the year. Celebrities wearing gorgeous gowns and sparkling jewels continue to wow fans of all ages. In honor of awards season, we decided to play dress-up using five local beauties to model our favorite iconic red carpet moments from the Golden Globes to the Oscars.

Deana Barcz as Julia Roberts…In 2001, Julia Roberts won an Oscar for Best Actress for her portrayal of Erin Brockovich. Julia shocked and stunned everyone when she wore; the now iconic, vintage Valentino dress circa 1992 to the Academy Awards that year. Deana is wearing a strapless ivory and a black two-toned gown by Jovani. Deana’s transformation began to take shape once the glam squad completed a modern version of Roberts chignon updo and exaggerated liner on her eyes. Lastly, who could forget the sparkle to catch the paparazzi flashes?

Essence Moffatt as Halle Berry…In 2011, Halle Berry smoldered in a nude tulle and beaded Marchesa Gown at . Berry has been known to steal a carpet or two, and we think this was one of her most iconic moments. Essence was the first model to arrive at the Santander Performing Arts Center the morning of the shoot. And the first lucky lady to get primped by the always fabulous “glam squad.” Essence wore a blush colored strapless tulle trumpet gown with a drop waist and tiered tulle skirt by Jovani.

Courtney Dvorak as Angelina Jolie…In 2007, Angelina Jolie wore a beaded champagne tulle gown with a beaded black belt on the red carpet at the SAG awards. Last but not least we styled Courtney in the style of Angelia Jolie. Courtney’s dark hair, piercing blue eyes, and face features were perfect for the Angelina look. Courtney is wearing an ivory tulle gown with silver sequins by Adrianna Papell. The glam squad kept her sleek and chic in a low ponytail at the nape of her neck. Angelina’s signature feature is her full lips. The make-up artist Patricia Solis applied a gorgeous red lip color to Courtney perfect pout. To complete Courtney’s the red carpet look, we added a pair of spectacular statement Earrings by Alexis Bittar and a black grosgrain ribbon to tie around her upper waist.

Elaine Fioravanti (a.k.a) BDG as Jessica Chastain…In 2012, Jessica Chastain was nominated for a supporting role for her performance in the Help. Jessica along with the assistance of her stylist chose a black Alexander McQueen gown with intricate gold embroidery and details. To capture Jessica’s Oscar look, Elaine is wearing a strapless black lace gown with gold lace applique along the front and back by gown. We accessorized the look with crystal and gold jewelry to compliment the dress.
