#NYFW Francesca Liberatore

Italian designer Francesca Liberatore got the opportunity of a lifetime to showcase her Spring /Summer 2015 Collection at MBFW when she won the 2014 DHL Exported Contest. Francesca has been designing and showing her seasonal collections in Milan since 2009. Winning the DHL Exported Contest helps designers grow their business and brand internationally.

The Collection…

Francesca Liberatore shared her Spring/Summer 2015 Collection at #MBFW on September 8. The forty-two piece RTW collection included looks for women and men. From the moment, the first model stepped onto the catwalk there was no denying Francesca has a European design sensibility.

Colors & Cuts…

Exotic prints of birds, in silk and sheer fabrics, were paired with linens, and suede. Relaxed fit trousers looked chic and cozy styled with longer length vests and jackets. Paneled maxi skirts and dresses with high slits accentuated the leggy model’s.

Notable Looks…

My favorite look from the collection was Look #42: The simple neckline on the white silk gown complimented the unique paneling and printed train. The look was fresh and modern. The designer also included a suede and leather handbags which transform into backpacks. How genius is that?

A chic, modern, and edgy, collection that’s sure to be on spotted on the IT Girls.
