#Tbt on Friday…Happy Anniversary!

15 years ago yesterday I was married at Stokesay Castle in my hometown of Reading Pennsylvania. The ceremony was held outside on the castle grounds. It was a beautiful fall day with clear blue skies. I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day. When I look back at the photos I’m reminded of the anticipation & excitement I felt in preparation and I’m overcome with joy.  It was the best day of my life and I will treasure the memories forever. So in true fashion blog form…here’s a list of my favorite things from that day! The Dress: I originally saw the dress in a bridal magazine and as I scanned the photo looking for the brand I realized it was a design by Randy Fenoli for Diamond Collection. Well, it was just to perfect! Not only was the dress elegant and glamorous in crisp white taffeta. The vintage inspired corset bodice and ball gown skirt felt modern. Plus it was one of Randy’s designs. Randy and I were friends and classmates at Fashion Institute Of Technology. He’s best known as the star of TLC’s Say Yes to the Dress, Randy Knows Best, and Randy to the Rescue. We lost touch after graduation when I went to Parsons School of Design for my junior and senior year. Back then it wasn’t easy to stay connected with friends the way it is today. Fortunately, I have been able to reconnect with many of my old friends and classmates through social media outlets like Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn.

The Band: The Groovemasters is in my opinion the best band in PA. The band consists of 5 members each with their own style and talent. My husband and I wanted a band that could play GREAT dance music. A band that’s music was infectious that guests would get up and move to. The Groovemasters were the only choice. Today each of the members have solo careers and collaborate with other artists on a variety of projects. Once or twice a year they reunite and jam for their fans. We don’t always make it out to see them, but when we do, we dance the night away!!

And of course the groom…. After 15 years of marriage we are still going strong. We’ve celebrated  great times and survived the difficult ones. He is my best friend and the love of my life…Here’s to the next 15 baby!
